Stacy Ray Donahue grew up in small town Nebraska. From a very small age she knew music was meant to be a part of her life. She obtained her Bachelor of Music Degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University and taught elementary music for 2 years before moving to Nashville, TN to pursue her dream of singing and writing.
Stacy played several shows around the country and down on Broadway Street in Nashville for many years. She soon met Jenny Gill who signed her to Zavitson Music Group. While at Zavitson,Stacy had cuts with Sweethearts of the Rodeo, WWE Wrestler Mickie James, Diana DeGarmo and several other various artists. It was there she was able to perform and open for several acts including The Adam Craig Band, Trisha Yearwood, Diamond Rio, and others.
In 2012 Stacy decided to take a break from singing and songwriting to go back to teaching elementary music. She got a job in Rutherford county, got married, and had her first baby. During her break, she also created the Music City Miracle Choir. This is a choir made up of special needs children that love to sing and perform around town. When Stacy decided she was ready to get back to writing she met with Jeff Catton from InTune Entertainment and she knew that this is where she wanted her songwriting home to be. She has been with InTune Entertainment since 2014.
Most recently, Stacy has teamed up with her husband Adam Ray and American Idol Alums, Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo to write and record a children’s lullaby album. The album titled “Rockabye Jams” will be released sometime in 2015.
